The Mac app

Revisit stores workspaces, prompts, and saved text locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not send this content to Revisit servers.

Downloads

Downloading Revisit from this website records your email address, the release you downloaded, and the times of your first and most recent download in Supabase. That record exists so we know how many people use Revisit and so we can tell you about new releases. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

Resend delivers those emails. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all email from us permanently. Nothing you save inside the Mac app is ever connected to this record.

Activating Revisit Pro

Unlocking Pro sends two things to us and nothing else: your licence key, and an identifier for your Mac. That identifier is a SHA-256 hash of the hardware UUID macOS already exposes to every app. It is hashed on your Mac before it is sent, so we hold a value that confirms the same machine came back without telling us which machine it is. We use it to count how many Macs a licence is running on and to let you release one.

The seven-day trial records the same hashed identifier and its start and end dates. It is stored under that hash rather than an email address, which is why the trial cannot be restarted by reinstalling — and why starting one does not require us to know who you are.

Activation returns a signed entitlement token that is stored on your Mac. Your Mac checks it locally, so Revisit keeps working offline for months between checks. No note, capture, workspace name, or piece of selected text is ever part of any of this.

Purchases

The app itself is free. Buying Revisit Pro is a one-time payment taken by Stripe, which holds the payment information. Revisit records the Stripe checkout and payment identifiers, the amount, the currency, and the email address you paid with, so that a licence can be issued against the purchase, re-sent when you ask for it, and revoked if the payment is refunded or charged back. Resend processes that address only to deliver your key.

Website infrastructure

The website necessarily receives standard request data such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps through its hosting provider. Revisit does not add advertising trackers or behavioral analytics.
